Free & open source
Nicely Neon is my own free, open-source theme. I created the color palette, built the theme for each supported app, and designed the website where developers can try the syntax previews and choose their download. From the editor colors to the launch page, this is a product I made and shared for anyone to use.
I designed the palette around seven accent colors on a charcoal background, then mapped them to syntax, selections, and interface states. Pink, violet, blue, cyan, green, yellow, and red each have a role. I carried that same system into the website so the theme and its home feel like one project.
I published Nicely Neon on the Visual Studio Marketplace for VS Code and made it available for Cursor through Open VSX. I also created a native PyCharm color scheme and a macOS Terminal profile, bringing the same palette to each environment. Every version is free to download and use, and the source is open for anyone who wants to explore it.
